Art of Enchantment
As part of the exhibition Art of Enchantment, we are presenting, for the first time, works by traditional African artists active in the early 20th century on the coast of Guinea, West Africa (today the Republic of Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia). The names and personal styles of these great masters are only known to us thanks to an exploration and research delegation initiated by the architect Michael Weiss, in collaboration with the master craftsman and art specialist N’kai Sidime, and in coordination with the Guinean government.
